hi, my cupra will be needing some new tyres in the next couple of weeks and i was just after some advice on what people prefer to use? i used to use the toyo t1r's on my polo, they were pretty good all round and quite reasonable but they're a very soft tyre so dont seem to last long!!

so basically what i'm asking is what do you use and why?! cheers

I have just got a new set of boots on the front of mine! Only being a 1.4 it doesn't require half the grip that your cupra will, however I managed to get Nankang Ns2's £35 a corner delivered, and then £15 for them both fitting. I got em off E-bay, always some good offers on there, believe there are a number of toyos on there too!!!

If your paying over £7 a corner for fitting your being ripped off.
Garages in Newport charge around this, Main dealers like ATS and Quickfit charge £15 a corner.

It was £15 all in for the two, and that was for both of them, at a QuickFit garage too! :) Only ever take them there cos it's run by an old skool mechanic and he has never damaged an alloy in all the years I have been going to him!
