Tyres and nails

I don't know if I'm the unluckiest driver but I've somehow managed to get 6 nails in tyres (all 4 of my primacy 4 tyres have had one now) since October last year. I'm sure not many could top that and I'd really like to reduce this from being a monthly thing.

They've all been repaired but next time I'm wondering what tyres to get next, are summer tyres which these are although I've used them all year round more likely to get nails in tyres?

My wife tends to go through tyres like you have. No idea how she does it. I've just replaced two tyres on my car and that's the first time in ages, as I've been lucky and had repairs.

Where do you park for work?
I've found I've had more nails (albeit 2 vs zero!) since moving work locations from an office to a workshop in a tech unit, with lots of businesses which seem to just smash up pallets!
Also - do you get on with your neighbors? We caught an old neighbour sprinkling nails by tryes of a car which would park in front of his house in a public layby

You haven't got a RangeRover - so doubtful its 'JSO vandals'!

You can get self sealing tyres - so nails shouldn't cause a problem.
example -
Hankook Sealgaurd.

Do you live near an off brand tyre shop by any chance? :ROFLMAO: a long while ago there was a brief increase in tyre damage locally and it suddenly stopped when the ownership of the local off brand tyre shop on the main road changed...

We went decades without a puncture then my wife and I got three in the space of a year. Unrelated, totally different places, although I got two punctures in the same tread groove on the same tyre one week apart! My wife's was too close to the side wall and was a new tyre.

Makes me very reluctant to buy a car that cannot take at least a space saver. My family all have full sized spares and I have a space saver.

Yep our cars all have space savers except 1 which now has no boot space as it has a full sized wheel in it, all the last screws/nails we've had have scrapped tyres and around 1 tyre/year/car.
