I have had my LCR for about a month or so and I noticed after a week, that the front tyres are looking bald, almost like slicks. I spoke to the dealer about it and after they took it in the bay to have a look, he summised that there is plenty of wear on them and that I shouldn't worry, the wear indicators are well within the legal requirement. He claimed that it was because the tyres had been over-inflated, as the wear is only in the centre of the tyre. He said that it was possibly done on the checks, prior to me collecting the car.
Now I know a bald tyre when I see one and these puppies are as bald as eggs!
For one, I am worried about the safety of the front end, should I hit a patch of something slippery, and for two, I am concerned about the legal implications if I get picked up by the fuzz (metaphorically speaking).
Anyone have any nuggets of wisdom on this?
