Tyre Size

Hi all....just got my gti back from the bodyshop and have started the prep work to start using it finally.....Have had a look at my tyres on my 16inch rims and they are 50's ...Can some one correct me on the right size tyres I would be thinking that they should be 40's or 45's any help would be greatly appreciated

45's if its on the 16" ronals i believe

Yeah 195/45s ideally should be on there but 195/50s aren't too much out.
205/50s and you're looking at messing the gearing up a bit.

Thankyou all for your prompt replys....so looks like i am going to be purchasing some new rubber then.....the 50's just look too big and fill the arch too much.. i would put a pic up other than my avatar but cannot post pics yet....thanks again
