Tyre FUBAR'ed - Cause?

you been playing with the handbrake in the snow? :D

A litle bit :whistle:

New rubber fitted today, guy found a nail from a pallet inside the tyre, plus excessive wear the MOT guy must not have seen, combination of both looks to have been the cause.

And yes Flapper, 90% of my miles are motorway.



Lesson learned!

keep a regular check on ya pressure's from now on then, one way of making it a habit is to have a pressure gauge in the car and a quick check whenever you put fuel in. scooting down motorway a lot you may not notice it dropping as easily

check the front's too as your reader's ride thread one of the first pics shows a front tyre has low pressure in it :p

might need the wheel's checked/sealed of course??

Front tyres went bald a a few months ago and have been replace with Proxes now.

Just did a check on the pressures there (cold) and all seems well.

A hard lesson is a good lesson!
