Just the cost of converting the car to Right hand drive

Then you can start modifications to take advantage of the 4wd system

Then trying to insure the car which would a nightmare

 Just think about it... an imported car is hard to insure... and modified cars are expensive to insure... so just imagine the sort of quotes you'll get for trying to insure a modified imported car!

Leon doesn't deserve 4WD ... like a Golf and Octavia does!?!?

Leon V6 4WD then add HPA twin turbo kit = 500+BHP with an awesome soundtrack ... oh yeah!!!

AHHHH Shaddup a ya face rob, you're ruining my argument and dream! :D
I would prefer the 2.0 16v turbo to the 20v 1.8 though.

A year or so ago, I was seriously considering buying a 1.8T LHD 4wd and modding it for power, so that I could take it with me when I move to France. I gave up on the idea when I discovered that you can't get one built later than 2002. A point to bear in mind.

Parts for rebuilding

All the parts for building a FWD to an AWD are stock VAG parts. So it should be possible.

Mabye buy a wrech 4x4 from germany and use the parts from this.

RobDon; 4x4 is much more fun in the winter time!

the rear of the donor car say S3 mounts are wider by about 4 inches each side so that will need to be adapted, fuel tank out, and maybe 2 x 2 " exhausts instead of 1 x 3", loads more but its not impossible

Ive always thought it would be great to have a 4x4 cupra r 1.8t but why not import a v6 4x4 then do that up and leave it left hooker like the golf rallye?
