I abit concerned about the reliabilty of my turbo after Revo. I'm already on my second turbo which was changed at 23,000. My point is I can hear the turbo boosting full at 2,000 rpm and I'm concerned this will reduce it's life as it's a small turbo working too hard in my opinion. My car is out of warrenty at the end of Jan and I really don't want to pay for another turbo blow. How often do you hear of the K03s going bang?

Cheers!

mines done 40k in 18 months of hard driving, and no signs of anything bad, not even a hint of smoke.

Compared to my old punto GT thats bloody amazing.

They are generally good, as long as you remember the basics of cooling down before switching off and keeping oil tip top and allowing warm up times in the morning.

check if the wastegate arm is properly installed on the correct position... this is simple, it´s located behind your engine where the turbo is, it looks like a long screw atached to a semi polished valve... well the position of the arm needs to be exactly on the middle of the screw line... (sorry about my english)...the number of screw cords needs to be the same on each side each nut... it´s important because this is what controls when turbo presure is released to your engine or to the exhaust..

greetings.

Cheers mate! I'll give this a look into tomorrow. I also often get a small spike when I lift off at low RPM say 2,500 as if the turbo is still pushing air into engine after I lift off. Would this be the same thing?

Also keep an eye on what boost you are running at particularly the initial boost spike which will almost always be more when requesting max torque. K03s should not really be asked to cope with more than 1.25 bar.
