Anyone running one of these. I've read they fit straight on and look OEM. They give a reduced shift, but bit as much as the forge..............but they're only around £25.

Can anyone confirm the part number - 8J0 711 046 E

I don't think it will be much shorter...I would get the eBay one as you can adjust how much you want from stock to 40% reduction and it's rather cheap compared to the Forge one...(does the same job but without the logo)

That's an interesting read. I recall a member who fitted his ebay short shift complaining that the side shift came too far out, and put pictures up - not so long ago either, might have to try and find the thread.....

The side shift is untouched....you can buy the side short shift as well too but the normal short shift only changes the up and down throw

Most people seem to only bother with the up/down short shift and leave the stock side shifter in - what's interesting is that it seems the design of the ebay shifter might cause the side shifter to break.

What do you mean "mite" break the side shifter? I have had my short shift for about 2-3 years? If anything it does cause extra stress to the "gear select cables" and eventually snap due wear & tear (quicker wear even)

my 2007 Cupra has the same part no. as TTS shifter fitted as standard only with 'E' on the end, a scout around Vortex forum indicates that the two parts are identical...
