Got new front tyres yesterday GSD3 :D . They also done the tracking for me. Now my LCR is drifting to the left and the steering wheel isnt aligned properly! Went back today and they had another go at tracking it......Still the ducking same!

Can anyone tell me the correct tracking values for a LCR?

Are all leon's the same? because they only had the values for Torledo/Leon.

Thanks.

Just recently had my car in at an independent garage and they said the values were incorrect. But they also only found the values from Toledo/Leon to compare with.

I have no problems with the car. The steering i straight, it doesn't pull to the left and the tires are fine.

The dealer were also unable to help me since the values to the Leon only came up as Toledo/Leon and Leon 4x4 (and not LCR)

Don't think I will be doing anything since it all seems fine...

this has been talked about on other threads.
One thing to check was the camber adjustment, not sure if that effects drift but will effect tyre wear

You talk to vehicle manufacturer and they would always like alignment set to there specifications ( SAFETY AND HANDLING ),but tyre manufacturer's always want alignment set as close as parallel as possible! ( MAXIMUM TYRE LIFE ) So what i always try to do is get it set up for both worlds! 9/10 times you will find your steering wheel will be slightly to the right, due to the camber of our roads!

Did they do a four-wheel laser alignment?

That is the only way to go. Other wise you are purely dependant on the patience of the spanner monkey who propably isn't paid enough to care. Look up your local Pro-Tyre. They have four wheel alignment by laser. Mine used to pull to the left and as a result the steering wheel was always to the right to compensate. Cost £25 but worth every penny as i am no longer suffering with stiff wrists on long drives. I can provide the figures for the LC if it helps

My LC like many others pulls to left. This became much worse when i put on 18's. I had them balanced three times, had the tracking done twice and got a 4 wheel laser alignment with no improvement. Cost me a bloody fortune!

I put my original 17's back on yesterday and while it still pulls to the left this is not as bad as the 18's. Plus my teeth are intact when i arrive at my destination as there is a tiny bit more rubber between me and the shite roads in renfrewshire!

I do belive they didn't do a four wheel alingment service! They tell you they do but all it is,is a 2 wheel 4 gauge track!
