Tracking - not steering straight

Maybe someone can help - bought a 130 TDi Sport last week (2nd hand), v.happy with it (although may stiffen suspension a bit) but have noticed that when the steering wheel i horizontal it drifts to the left. Is this cause to check out the tracking or something else? Anyone else had similar problem?

Cheers.

get it to quik fit or similar to check the tracking

they only charge to adjust but checking is free at quik fit!;)

also they fix punctures for free if you leave the wheel with them to do at their leisure;)

I've never had any probs apart from balancing not 100% spot on but they corrected it for free the next day

have you had a bad time with them?

Dafg - Anyone else had similar problem?

Mine is doing the same - had the tracking checked by two different places who both siad it was correct.

Finally had a full geometry check done on the car and found out that the front camber is not equal.

Front drivers side is - 0º 39' as it should be according to the book.
Front passenger side is - 1º 05'

There is no official way to correct this error in camber.:wtf:

The only suggestion was to take it to a local rally car builder and have him elongate the ball joint holes in the wishbone to move the wheel in slightly to correct the camber.

There is some movement possible the top suspension mount bolt holes.
And I believe it's possible to shift the subframe slightly, with the same effect.

I'd echo m0rk's view of Quick-fit type places; went to have mine done once, got told they'd sent the equipment away as it was found to be several degrees out...and that was after they'd done quite a few cars with it.
The kit often gets chucked about and the people using it don't usually take much care setting it up, or understand much about suspension either...

i have the same kind of problem but it seems like its not possitive going around left hand corners than right, i thought it was to do with the steering pump and it was easyier to turn that way aswell, the nearest seat garage is 30 miles away and there crud lol does any1 else feel like that? im seriously thinkin about asking them to have alook.
