I went to the afternoon session. Activities were good and it was nice to be able to thrash some one elses car, (beware anyone buying a cupra or FR in the near future with a reg beginning FY57, they have a chequered past). The only problem was the Scottish weather, which apparently blew all the telemetary sensors from around the track away and meant we couldn't do any laps, which was a big disappointment. Instead we were taken around the track for a couple of laps with Darren Turner driving in one of the Cupras. Was well worth it, i'm certain they wouldn't have let us ride the kerbs like he did and even though he didn't go higher than four gear, (for health and safety reasons!!), it was still quick.

Cheers for the response Simon.

Due my Track Day at Wroughton on Wednesday. 2.5 hour drive but hopefully, the weather will be good:rolleyes: Have opened a new thread and will post my responses there.

Once again, thanks for the reply:D

Glad you enjoyed it.

If it was dry then the kerbs are to be used ;) at the chicane you want to take as much as you can going through it, although it can make you airborn and sideways esily ... hehehe

Also at redline in 4th the car will be doing 100mph+ on the back & main straights, just as it gets to the braking zone, you lose to much speed & acceleration changing up (unless you are on the gas for 5secs afterwards).

Pity you could not get out for some laps yourself ... it's amazing the difference that track driving is to normal roads (speed in corners & braking mostly).
