The majority of materials which are used to make up any car are relatively cheap. a car has to be cost effective and able to sell in order for it to be on the market. These car manufactuers are making big, big profit. :p

Jonzy, do you still have an Ibiza? if so, why? LOL you dont seem to rate it at all.

Got to admit though the handling is poor!! Ive had a Mk1 golf gti and a 205 gti before this, the mk1 was safe and easy, the 205 was fun, the ibiza is dangerous!

Notice how she never mentioned the fact that the renault is built like ****, read owners reviews, even they hate the build...probably good handling ,fun car though...

seriously dont know wat u ppl are getting at, ive own an 205 gti 1.9 and i seriously think my ibiza handles better, maybe on roundabouts the pug was better but that was it and only coz it was lighter. i drive to work and its good country lane bends and i actually think the ibiza goes thru faster than my pug did, except it doesnt feel as fast in the ibiza than in the pug. the pug was not very good with rear traction very loose:whistle:

its not untill u get shown up by a car with less power through some bend that u realise how bad it was as standard, i gotta admit though on coilovers it aint tht bad but it aint great neither

LOL fair enough!

Many people say how good the 205 gti is for handling, never heard that about the Ibiza...

As Acidstrato says, an example of this happened the other day my mate in his 420bhp cossie was shown up totally by a GIRL in a 106 gti over a series of roundabouts.....was funny!! He just couldnt keep up.

VBH also did a test in a yellow Cupra R on Top Gear.It was a more in-depth
test and drove it around a track.Have yet to find it though.

i really dont think the 205 gti's handles that well in stardard form, but if u think about how much stuff the ibiza has to lug about, u crash in the 205 and u will probably be dead as for the ibiza u will probably be alive lol. goin from the 205 to an ibiza i find the ibiza holds the speed better, on long flowing bends, 205 is probably better for very tight ones, like going down country roads @ 60-70 ur shitting urself in the 205 but in the ibiza ur not. but yea i dont think its bad as ur making out is all im saying. i mean when i had my 205gti i had a mate with a fiat uno 1.1 and he could almost keep up with me on tight bends beause theres no weight to it. like ur comparing a 106 with less power and a lighter engine is always gonna be fast on tight bends:p

Ive got 20mm springs on Cupra R shocks..

They rear wheels are 9" wide with a et of 15 so yeh a bit extreme lol but the old wheels i had were just as bad 7x17's, although i had 15's on for a while and it was "better"

well if u've put aftermarket springs on cupra r shocks, i doubt its gonna handle that well, ur better off getting some coilovers i would of thought, have u had the camber/ toe checked recently?

so what can you do to the Cupra to get it to handle better? i was planning on getting a cupra and spending about 4k odd turning it into a moster, (looks and performance)
But perhaps now maybe just spend the extra 2k and 300 a year insurance and get a Focus RS and Chip that...

Tbh there only 20mm springs so its not gonna be killing the shocks much, however they were already on the car when i bought it and its not something i would have done, ive had a few sets of Fk coilovers now on other cars and they have been impressive. Now the prices have leaped up though im thinking twice!

At the end of the day i ned to change the setup just not sure what? I still dont think its gonna handle that well.
