tool to remove front seats needed

Hello what sort of tool do i need to remove front seats in my seat ibiza mk4 2003 3 door one as i just bought a new set and i dont really fancy going to the garage and pay them for such as easy job? what tool and what size? regards simon

The bolt is a M10 spline not a torx, use the wrong tool and it can round off as they are thread locked in.

Unusual then as every SEAT, Skoda and VW I have had apart in recent years has used an M10.

As long as it fits well thats the key.

Mines a spline drive, just like many other VW's. The door hinge's are fitted with spline bolts.

what car is it off mate? my drivers bolster is propperly worn and cud do with a replacement cover for the whole back :p

thanks mate, hopefully they are the same,

My seats are fine theres just a hole in the fabric but the stealers want £150 for a new back cover!!

Bringing this thread back to life!!!

can anybody send me an ebay link to the M10 spline that i will need to remove the front seats? iv tried 3 hardware shops and none had it. help much appreciated :)
