Well things didn't go quite according to plan and the engine isn't actually removed yet but loads of progress was made

Front end is all off, apart from the bonnet as it's easier to store on the car right now. ( all the fornt end bits for sale BTW )

The sideskirts had to come off to get the wings off and the boot spolier is now history

So all the botwork is stripped off that needs to be, the only thing bodywork wise to do is the smoothing and refitting of the front end when I get the Mk3 front...

Looking good mate, taking it a weekend at a time, was it easy to take the front off? any obsticals arrise?

pete, you arnt tempted for wide arch shennanigans mate? stripped out wrcalike with ice and 20vt.....nice, its something i remember a few of us discussing a few years ago the turbod wrc look, dont think anyone argued...

Weekends are all I have as it's too dark to do anything when I get home of an evening

Front came off easy really. Except for the fact that two of the wing mountings were stuck on using some sort of mastik type stuff as well as the bolts.

Brend, yeah I'd love to fit the Mk3 WRC wide arches. But I doubt I'll find a set in a scrappy, and tbh it would up the cost loads which isn't something I want to do too much.

if you can find someone good with their hands mate maybe you can get a set made one off or make moulds and make a few quid!!

Pete, get the fibre and resin out and make your own wide arch kit

Goto be easier than making sub boxes
