i honestly dont think my sensor are knackered.

i drive to and from work 4 times a day, which is only five mins stop start, and my engine doesnt even get up to temperature, on these journeys, so i really doubt the dpf is getting up to temp either to clean the soot off.
and hence why it is coming on all the time.

i will take your advice, and call the dealers, but i doubt there is anything wrong, well apart from the stupid design.

Near Reevo :)
I get the same, my office is like 2 miles away, so if i spend all week going to office, home for lunch etc.. then within 4 days i'll get the regeneration happening (no DPF warning light, that's the next stage) as soon as i feel it trying to do DPF regen i'll take it on a 20 min blast to sort it out before i get the light on.

Yeah i guess not, just unfortunately your driving style of short journeys is probably the worst combination for the 550....

Why not get a scooter for the summer [B)]

Just a thought, but if the dealer didn't warn you about DPF problems if doing short trips etc you may be able to swap your 550 for a TFSI, especially if you make enough fuss... [:@][:@]:censored:[:@][:@]
