Tinny De-cat

Hi guys

I've got a wee problem with my decat pipe, its a THS pipe for an audi TT or S3 but ive had it modified to fit my LCR. The problem is that the decat itself makes an awful tinny noise, its horrible :(. Ive double and triple checked its definately the pipe itself, not a heatshield and there are no cracks or breaks in the pipe either. In the cold mornings its really noticable at idle and even when hot its noticable up to around 2500 revs

My point being...is there anything I can do to sort it out?? Heat wrapping it did pass my mind but I've been told it wont work so any suggestions??

Thanks in advance for your help guys

John

Nah mate theres deffinately nothing inside it, wen we fitted it we thought there might have been a leaky gasket or sumthing so we took it off and refitted it and the noise was still there1

Oh and its been on the car for around a month now, and its done probably 1000 or 1500 miles

Nah mate I bought mine direct from THS and had it modified. Its fixed to a Magnex cat back and although it does sound good at higher rpms I'm not fully happy with it. On the plus side there is a lovely loud backfire from first to second if i nail it :D ;)

Am seriously considering a Piper turbo back or a Supersprint catback with piper downpipe now [B)]

Anyways thanks for the advice guys its apreciated
