Hi Folks,

i have the 2009 1.9 emocion

Anyone done one changed the timing belt before? Can you recommend parts?

Been reading might as well do the water pump at same time, local Seat garage want £600 odd, so they can suck a fat one.

I've done a timing chain on a BMW before, which was a big ish job, but managed it, hoping this isn't as complicated.

I also need to do rear springs, but that seems pretty straight forward.

Oh and lastly i also need to replace the air con compressor but not essential at moment as winters creeping in and its only cold air it doesn't blow.
I did read somewhere that there was a fault with the compressors in this type vehicle and can often be fixed by replacing certain parts on the compressor.

Thanks in advance

If your aircon compressor is a Delphi DH5 (6CVC) model there is a good chance that the control valve is faulty. Look for item 322715932615 on ebay - that is the valve you want. There may well be toher sellers, that is just the first one listed I found.
It is held in with a circlip, I replaced mine when the whole front end was of, and there was no gas left in the circuit anyway) so it was easy to get to.
