Timing belt renewal question

My car is a Y reg 1.6 with 55k miles, I bought it last march and the log book didnt have a timing belt renewal entry in it so I thought I'd better get it done, by a local garage not a Seat dealer.

So have I made a mistake of not having a full belt/tensioner kit renewal done the other day? I only had the belts replaced as the full kit was quite expensive and I didnt have the cash for the whole job.

Have I wasted my money?

hi mate, i got mine done at 65k. Went to GSF and got the rollers, tensioners, belt and most important of all, the water pump with metal perpellers as the plastic one goes. In total with the servicing kit cost me £160. Gave to local garange and paid £80 for labour. How much did you pay? and water pump?

I don't know if the 1.6 has a tensioner
But its a betting mans game the timing belt water pump thing
If your a betting man you'll PROBABLY be okay
If your not a betting man, get it done

just for the 2 belts (2 on a Leon apparently) total cost was £130 and no a water pump wasnt included.

would get the water pump mate but make sure you get it yourself. The cost to get it installed will be quite high now

I've got an 02LCR and am going to get the timing belt done soon. Can someone please clarify all the parts that I will require as I'm a bit unsure and don't want to order the wrong parts or forget anything.
Would I be correct in saying I need - timing belt, aux. belt, rollers, tensioner & water pump with metal impellers?
Also is GSF the best place to buy these?
