time to sort the rubbing issue

Ive now had the problem a while now and its time i do something about it before i mangle the arch/tyre/car/me.

ive got a set of FK coilovers and its sitting pretty low, i dont know if its just me but my front right tyre (drivers) is constntly clipping the inner arch on pretty much any tiny difference in road surface or pot hole and when turning left.

what i need to know is;
do people think the coilover on that side is lower down and thus causing it to rub pretty much any time turning left and buffing over anything?

i have checked and its only that arch that is taking a pounding.
there is no rubbing at all turning right i can throw it round any corner (i dont though).
ive checked all other tyres and arches and nothing is catching except the one above.

anyone any ideas why this could be?
thanks, David

there is an inner piece of plastic which protects the engine which I think is on the right (drivers) side.

On the passenger side it will be missing anything to foul on as this protective plastic isnt there..

That's what I think might be happenin on yours.

it could also be the side of the engine bay, theres like a wall between the wheel and the engine which is made of metal. mine rubs it with 17s and lowered when turning left on full lock, but this is the top of the wheel that is rubbing it... so in your case cos its lower... itll hit it much sooner as it is closer to the wheel. also used to rub the liner until i modified that so it didnt.

to see where its rubbing just jack the car up and look for signs. if you find it itll be obvious where it is... mines rubbed the under body seal away from the metal bit to show shinny metal so its pretty obvious where mine rubs

mines has rubbed into that metal bit ur talking about, reason i know is that bit is shiney an nice to touch an the rest is manky with mud lol.
its also catching the plastic inner wheel arch lining, theres a square boxy bit its hitting off, if i cant get it of il probs need to stiffen the car or raise it.. hmm..
