If I have a Jabba remap will my fuel economy go stupid?

I wanna have one done but as I use the car quite reguarly for work, dont wanna be spending £k's in fuel.

Im fully aware it will affected but to what extent?

If you drive normally it'll be about the same as driving normally pre remap...

Not talking Jabba, but I know of quite a few Revo'd/APR'd LC/LCR's that have noticed better mpg following a remap, driving sensibly of course. It will use more with a lead right foot however....

i have better mpg with the remap, not jabba, but you tend to build up your right leg due to continous booting!

My Jabba'd LC fuel economy never changed after I had the remap. I suppose I might get some gains if I drove liek an old woman, but what would be the point?

I enjoy the extra power!

I have two a3 1.8t's one standard and one modded plus jabba remap, both are drived by myself and girlfriend the same amount. The cars are driven to work, on motorsways and driven hard down b road's on the way home.

the standard one averages 30mpg

the modded plus jabba map one averages 35mpg

so in my opinion fuel economy is better after the remap

Even with my Jabba IHI upgrade I haven't spent any more money on fuel. The trip computer doesn't give accurate readings anymore due to the different injector sizes etc but I've not noticed any difference in economy!

On track of course its a different matter. 6mpg!!!

Problem is you DONT drive normally when you have hte extra power avilible.

You can SAY you will and THINK you will all you want. But you wont.

You WILL drive it harder and faster.

not everyone drives like this...

too busy on the roads these days, and cars are fast

hard to say with me

my first mod was a dynatwist and economy got worse. cant give figures but i noticed more time at the pump.

once jabba played about economy improved alot but not sure if its better than the stock levels.
overall chipping the car hasnt worsened the mpg

Have to say that my MPG has improved since re-mapping.

Used to see between 200-220 miles per tank as standard.

I now get a minimum of 240 miles per tank.

I can only guess that due to the extra power available, I no longer need to rag it everywhere, plus it's just too darn dangerous. Things were alot safer when standard. Traffic light grand prixs are out the question as well now, too much wheelspin to even bother thinking about. In fact 1st and 2nd are pretty useless now, so that probably contributes to the better MPG as well.
