Sell the Ibiza. At the end of the day regardless of how far you take it it will always (unless you go uber big!) be a fwd car and therefore have it's limits. Get yourself a big power as standard rwd. Personal choice would be a TVR.
Exactly. This is what ive been thinking lately. It doesn't matter what you do to the Ibiza, its still not going to be as fun as a front engined, rear wheel drive, 50/50 sports car.
Im struggling to put the power down in 2nd gear at the moment big time, even in the dry, so god knows what you IHI boys are like! I want power I can actually use and I want fun. Basically im just bored of FWD!

In my cars defence it puts the power down VERY well.

1st gear is obviously a waste compared to 4wd, but still not awful, 2nd gear it grips through most of it to an extent and after then we are fine until it rains...

I'd keep the ibiza as a daily driver, and get a nice car. Possibly consider getting jabba to map the ibiza slightly differently to make it smoother/more progressive at the expensive of ultimate power, so its more driveable, and easier for the missus to get to grips with...and give her a couple of advanced driver training track days.

If you can get ok money, sell the ibiza buy some tdi with great fuel economy and **** loads of torque for everyday use and buy a monster with 500 or more hp for weekends. I would do that if a had the money. Love driving the beeza, but changes are welcome when they are good and rational.

turn the controller lower limit down to 8psi and its a very easy slower ibiza.

Remembering this car is Jabba's ex one, so has been "well used" by test pilots, and the DP etc on this one is the hand fab'd one, not the pukka one on kits. Evolution of the breed has improved things.

Yes it has been well used but doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it ;)

I didn't want to go into details on here but those i've spoken to who have shown an interest in the car have been told it was the original prototype downpipe and hence not the decent stainless one - however i will have the nice shiny one soon though won't i Bill ;)

Me too. Although some people say that TVR's are prone to breaking down, It wouldn't bother me as they are quick as fook, rear wheel drive and the noise is  . There isn't many cars out there brand new that will tick all the boxes and still wipe the floor with Porsches and Ferraris, but the choice is yours mate, we can only tell you what we would do if in your possision.

It's the sounds that does it for me ....

Plus tha fact that you have to be a GOOD (or insane) driver to keep them on the road. Talent is needed. Not like the Porsche or the Aston or any of the other "super cars" with all the leccys stuff on it to help you drive.

A TVR is a mahooosive engine, bolted to a light weight chassis with beautyful  styling.

They dont even have ABS!

Would cut off my left testie to own one.... :worship:

I was thinking about this the other day.

Obvisously Jabba kitted big turbo cars may have more creditionals for resale but generally i was wondering who'd buy a big turbo converted seat ibiza weather it be IHI, Garrett or what ever.

do you guys think it would appeal to the track day market? where would you advertise autotrader? on speacialist web site like this.

The Big turbo scene will increase on these 1.8 vag platforms because its so cheap to get 125% bhp increase on standard cars. this is unknown and is acheived because of the brilliant engineers at V.A.G development.

And where would the price tag be? would you get the base cost of the standard car from autotrader and add conversion costs - second hand value. when or if it comes when i have to sell my car i wouldn't want it to go on e-bay.

You know what I drove that car a while back and YES it is very quick ............But remember we are all still in charge of our right foot  If my memory is correct that engine pulled progressly with no massive gobs of power so with a bit of trust your girlfriend should be able to drive it.................Give it loads of respect :D
