Think I might have leaky injector seals?

Can someone please tell me if this is the case or normal. I've attached a photo of the worst one (cylinder 3), but the others are very minor compared to this one.

2 Allen botls on fuel rail and it pulls out, not rocket science lol, just clean round them before u remove them, if your only doing lower seals no need to remove fuel pipes, if your doing all seals, best leaving it overnight, then simply take 2 fuel hoses off, 2 allen bolts pull it off and take the clips off the fuel rail - injector. Id say its just as easy as a spark plug change.

thanks Shaunyboy. I was getting stressed earlier when attempting to fix the oil breather pipe on the rocker cover and another part broke off. I bet when I look again in the morning with a clear head it will be as easy as you say.

It will be a doddle after a sleep.

You got to think at the end of the day its nuts and bolts, even an engine rebuild, its how you look at it, if you look at it logically its easy, not matter if you have worked on fords or skodas, knowledge is adaptable :)

Just look at the fuel rail, you will see 2 allen bolts, thats all that holds it down, just use 2 hands one at each end and give it a firm pull and out it comes, but use some brake cleaner round the debris as we dont want this in the inlet, or even a hoover to suck the crap up :). Make sure its all nice and clean and lubricate the seals with a little engine oil so there not dry, dont go overboard just wet the end of your finger and thumb with oil and just make sure there moist.

excellent info mate... I take I can just screw them hand tight? I have got a torque wrench that goes quite low, 7nm I think.

Do you know if they are a GSF part or dealer only? VW just round the corner?

I've got a major oil breather pipe (PVC) issue at the moment so I would not be able to give an opinion on weather it has a negative effect. Its been like it for some time I think from looking at the picture.

I was more worried about it splitting - not good with a hot engine and petrol vapor.
