think I might be missing a hose?

Hi all,

Recently got a 2002 Ibiza 1.2. Might sound daft but it looks, to me, like there's a missing air intake hose, but not sure as haven't been able to compare it with any other ibizas and I'm no car expert.

Basically just under the bonnet there's a couple of holes that seem like they could connect with a bit of right angled pipe. One comes from front grill (B in my pic) other goes into some plastic housing (A).

Any chance you can provide a better picture?
It's a bit small and I can't see the holes you refer to.

What exact model and extras do/should you have?

If everything is working fine is it possible that the previous owner fitted something that they removed before selling it?

no that is perfectly normal mine is exactly the same, as are all 1.2 ibiza engines

I think B is the air intake for the fan on the front or mebies for the rad. and A is just the air intake for the engine :S

mines is like that aswel in the 1.4.

i'm pretty sure if you wanted you could add a hose, wouldnt think it would make any difference though

Cheers guys. Now all i've got to worry about is the cracked exhaust manifold.

If u added a hose you would probably cause some problems! Im not 100% sure B is an intake hose but even if it is not all you will be doing is connecting a hot air to the engine air intake. Thats really not clever lol
