After spending £250 on different bits to try and solve my power loss problem, ive just noticed that the hose from the turbo that goes to the intercooler pipe has got a tear in it! I take it this is my pressure loss that the bloody diagnostic man keeps banging on about!!!! Any one know of a cheap one?

And a few others' cars, including TT's. Forge one isn't cheap, OE is even less cheaper :D

Does anyone know if you can tell anyother way apart from loss of power and a visual tear if the turbo pipe has a split in it ? I also assume it would be on the bend part of the hose ?

Well, the hose is sort of near the intake/pollen filter for the air-con/interior.

I thought I could detect a fain burnt-oil smell at one point, and I only put two and two together when I found the split.

Mine was on the diagnostic scanner and it came up with pressure drop between dv and turbo, so checked all the hoses and found a tear in the boost hose.
