right so who out there has had their cars over heat?? :flamed: for the first time my car went from 90 to about 115!! was doing a smooth 130 on the a2, then car started to warm a bit to much was racing some mr2 roadster nice woman in it to!! but hey, whats best to do when this happens?? i slowed down to about 70 but had no affect so pulled over a bit later turned engine off to cool down but my god they take ages to cool down dont they?? :confused: :sleeping:

no only today left it and its getting cooler plus how can you check the pump?? also noticed when it was warm i couldn't put my foot down it didn't boost etc?

Mine had a fit this morning, but I belive it may have been an airlock from flushing the system last weekend. Let it bubble for 30 mins and kept refilling, seems ok now :)

right been out again in it, it seems to be when im driving the temp guage goes up and when i idle the temp returns to normal [:@] so, anyone have an idea what this will be as its doing my tits in and also, say if it was something like the water pump am i able to get it fixed under warranty, i bought it from my seat dealer a bit away so would i be able to get it done by one nearer seeming as i have one years warranty left :confused:
please let me know asap before i go swaning off on the essex meet tom??

Sorry forgot to mention it is a warranty issue so any dealer should do it. advice on here says if possible purchase the brass impeller type (dealer will fit the normal plastic impeller type) will cost you approx £30 but should last longer.

got it booked in to the stealers, but next friday :cry: bloody hell bust people and have to drive it about an hour to get it to where i bought it from, being as its a used car frrom seat thought i could get it done anywhere?? but obviuosly not :confused:

anyway two days without the beast :banghead: such is life

thats what i thought, but it is over three years old and the bloke at miller and middleton said it would only be covered by the dealer i bought it from.. how does that work?? or they talking BS??

Possibly a dealer provided warranty rather than a Seat one if that's the case.
