Ok, so I took our 130 Leon in for some work today at our local stealer and while I was waiting I decided to go for a spin in a TDi FR as we are planning on getting a replacement car soon. What a lovely engine! So powerful but WTF is up with that awful centre console??!! A sea of cheap looking plastic.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Leon but the interior of the FR has made me rethink about getting one!

You get used to it, I dont think about it. As long as it works I dont care too much.

Am more interested in the handling and performance and of course the way it looks .

I don't even think about it. It's functional. Don't look at it while I'm driving . What's going on outside of the car is where my eyes spend most of the time (and the odd fuel nerd moment flicking thru the MFD).

If you go for it you won't give it a second thought after a while.

I dont mind it at all - in fact in most cars I have been in under 30 grand its not much better.

In my LeonFR 2.0 TDI
i find using the pedal on the right helps remove any thoughts about the dash, not that i mind it, does what it says on the tin.

Its also nice and easy to get into with the plastic strips trick when your hunting down the F-ing rattle!! still fixed btw :)

Aye

Before I got the new beast, I used to look at the interior of me dad's mk2 and then everytime I got back into my mk1 it felt dated.

I quite like the dash in the mk2. In fact I think it comes in for too much flack. Its not the best but I still think its modern enough.
