Have got a price of £160 at most for the wheels to be done so im going to go for it, Have chosen a dark grey, Will have 3 coats of laquer just to protect and shine.

If anyone has any pics with dark grey wheels that would be nice to add.

Ill be taking them off this weekend.

Am really looking forward to AMD day now so Have ordered a 007P too.

Need to calm down a bit though as this modifying is hitting the pocket lol.

Well your car is remapped Bobby. You're pulling 212g/s at one point which is a good readout, a rough reading would mean that you're running 275bhp (212 x 1.3) but this is quite vague, perhaps 260bhp is more likely.

Can you run block 020 so we can see your correction factors?

Perhaps 006 too for intake temps.

Are you using 409.1? If so then it should work fine.

020 tells you the cylinder retardation. If it's really high then you might have an issue but I dount it is, would just be handy to check really. I got '0' across the board last time :)

Coming along nicely mate. If it hasn't been done already then remove the sound proofing from under bonnet, will make induction kit and D/V sound louder.

Right i finally got the inspiration and im glad i did.

Its obviosly had a D/V before as the Jubilees were proper ones. So literally it was a 2 minute fit.

Excuse the dirtiness.

Before

After
IMG_4413.jpg

And rear Wiper. WHAT A MOD!

Before

IMG_4414.jpg

And after

IMG_4415.jpg

Dump valve has obviosly made it louder and its more responsive low down, there must have been a problem with my old one because its made a big transformation.

To be honest its probably just me when i say about the loss of boost, Its just like at 4.5k it stops producing any more boost therefore feels like its not going as quick if you see what i mean.

Im looking forward to RR day so i can jump in JamJays and find out what another one is like.

Anyway

the wiper!

its the best mod so far, no more stupid noise and it actually cleans the screen, £20 delivered and 5 minutes fit.

Oh and Dave i think i just see the yellow cupra youre talking about on my test drive, R666 i think....

looking good mate, rear wiper makes such a difference not just looks wise but it does a much better job

i'd get the aerial sorted as well as the standard one also lets the looks down, either a s2000 serial or c2 aerial which is the chunky look is good or just remove the top of you current aerial

how easy to change mate?

If its simple ill order one... Shes in the air at the moment with the wheels off. I need to get the under trays off as they have a bit of overspray on them from when i had the front painted due to all the lacquer peeling.

I also need to paint the break callipers and to be honest shes gonna need disks and pads all round too pretty soon.

Ive got a week until wheels come back all dark grey so it will give me time to do this.

Where can i get the brembo stickers from and is there any paticular paint i need to use?

Ive seen prople on here mask off and spray them, is that the better option?

i dont really wanna take them off because the bleeding issue.

Ill post some pics later, its looking sorry for its self!

aerial is easy to do, just unscrew until it becomes loose then bracing the area on the roof around the aerial a sharp tug will get it wout but you may need a bit of force and the roof may move a little. then just screw a new one in

word of warning though that i have no radio following putting the c2 aerial on, not always the case as people have changed it and not have any issues but i only use my cd/dvd player so its not a problem for me

Is it just the laquire peeling on the Brambos ?
Rub them back lightly to remove the flacky bit's of laquire then clean them and mask them up and just re laquire them,
While your at it give the back a light rub and clean and spray a few coats of laquire on them aswell, it will bring them back to red.

i think its the lacquer, they are basically white though.

Ill get a picture tomorrow.

i hope it is just the lacquer as thats gotta be easier, rear ones are the same, like a reddy powdery whitee sort of medley!

Yep thats the 1 I keep spotting. Also seen the red LCR with AmD on it around Emerson park and a Platinum cupra in the B.P at the Harrow. You fancy convoying down to AmD on the 21st:confused: As D.K said it's just the laquire peeling on the callipers. Been meaning to do mine for 4yrs know:doh::redface:

Just got my wheels back and they are looking good.

I went for a flat colour in the end as the colour of the car is a base colour so i though mettalic would have looked a bit weird.

They are ultra shiny in the flesh though and i think they will look good on the car.

Let me know what you think!
