Terramar or Formentor

I'm a little bit of a pickle. I currently drive a Formentor V2 1.5 however I'm looking to change.

Now my dilemma lays here. I can get either a V2 1.5 Terramar or a VZ1 hybrid Formentor.

Now.... which one do I go for? I know some of you will say a real Cupra is a VZ3 2.0 etc etc, but my finances don't stretch that far and truthfully, I like the look of these cars and have been satisfied with the 1.5 engine. However, an offer of a VZ1 hybrid has thrown a spanner in the works of my decision making.

Help please.

Update... decided to go for the Terramar. Now I have the choice of all colours. With the exception of the matt. What colour do you think. I'm leaning towards Dark Void or black.

I think colour choice is a very personal thing - asking others what paint colour to go for might only confuse matters as we all like different things. Having to make that choice is a nice dilemma to have though…………🤔

I personally avoid dark paint colours these days; they can look good when just cleaned but IMHO they’re too much of a labour of love to keep them looking good, especially if you live in a hard water area. I also wouldn’t entrust cleaning a dark coloured car (or any car for that matter) to one of the many hand car wash places or a car dealership - the wash methods and products they use aren’t the best / safest for keeping the paintwork looking factory fresh and there’s a very high likelihood it would quickly become covered in swirls.

Thanks for your reply. I understand it's a personal choice though. As for cleaning. I tend to clean my own cars, being a bit of enthusiast/weekend warrior, I avoid these hand car wash places like a plague as I've seen first hand the damage they cause to cars paintwork. An example being, I saw one pressure wash the leather chamois on the pavement, flip it over and pressure washed the other side the used it on the car. 🤦‍♂️

Going back to colours, guess I was asking if anyone has seen these colours on a terramar in real life. My local dealer has just a graphene grey one.

Guys, I own a Formentor 245 plugin and I am thinking of switching to the new Formentor VZ Extreme 333cv or Terramar American’s Cup 265; I have three questions for you; 1) do you know if the 318cv version of the Terramar, already available in Switzerland and only in Switzerland, will also be available on the price list? 2) do you know if the Matrix Ultra will also be available on Formentor in April? 3) do you know of any aftermarket alloy wheel brands that reproduce the Cupra rims with Nad approval? I would like to find the new Formentor rim specific for VZ and I would like to find it in 20”

Go for black as classy, cool and stealthy for going under the radar, I don't clean mine all the time and still looks good. Much easier to touch up stone chips as they don't show up as much as on light colours, also you just dont see tar spots on the sills either. I'am on my 3rd black Cupra/CUPRA now and even my motorcycle is black too.

Dark void is beautiful but I'm biased as I'm waiting for it to land in the UK. Here's the 1st edition in my local dealer

Agree, from the picture you’ve posted, Dark Void looks really good 😎.
