A friend works in a garage and scanned my car after my engine management light came on. It goes off now and again, but then comes back on.
He scanned it with a Tecnotest Reflexplus 4130...
...and it brought up P0234-boost.
My car is a 53 plate Leon TDi.
It looks like the turbo is over boosting.
Now, I know very little about this car. Do I steam in and fit a reconditioned turbo? Or can I drive on, happy as larry, and wait for it to blow?
Any thoughts on the code, or the implications of me doing the above would be very helpful.
