ET35's will be fine just get spacers if needed.
If the ET is 35mm and the spec. is more than that, then 35s will sit further out from the car and won't need spacing, in fact the opposite.
I've got these wheels on my FR TDI. I think I fitted ET 35mm rims and no problems but that is only 3mm further out than the standard rims which ISTR were 38mm offset.
The wheels and tyres are 4kg a corner lighter than the originals, but I downsized to 16" and 205/55 tyres from the original (heavy) 17" FR rims and 225/45 tyres. The car handles better thanks to the reduced unsprung mass - it used to feel over-tyred.
The narrower tyres can still handle my 300lbft of torque no problems...
