The sump plug on my TDi Cupra is loose, it tightens to the top but wont go really tight resulting in slight oil leak and the suspicion it'll probably work itself loose.
Took the car to Seat who recon its basically ****ed and will need a new sump! I dread to think how much this'll cost me, so do you guys have any idea on what I can do. And if I have to buy a sump is there anywhere I can get it cheaper (i'd imagine most scrappies would only want to sell a whole engine).
Also, the plastic guard that lives under the engine that protects it from crap coming up off the road, mine has been knackered since I got the car and finally gave up its temporary makeshift securings. The price for a new one - £130!!!!! Again, does anyone have any ideas as I'm loathed to pay this much for a bit of plastic.
