I get 500ish to a tank. about £45 fill up(I go for 50L's).
I do mainly drive on Mways, 25 mile to work, I have usually drivin about 65-70(still in my escort mode lol) but I have been drivin at 80 and I think my Mpg will be slightly higher this time should get over 500. I have changed my tyre pressure this week 2!

Have you tried any fuel cleaners? do you know what oil is in the engine?(0W-40 or 5w-40?) what state the air filter is in?(I'm just interested for when mine takes a dive)
I've done about 6-7k on my first oil change and seems to be still going strong tho I had to top up last week.

never tried any fuel cleaners in this car - not had it that long.
5w/40 FUCHS Titan fully synthetic was the oil i used from GSF - bargain at £23 for 5l.
air filter was dirty and oiled up, and was changed about 2 weeks ago for a k&N one (got from DamoR on here).
When i finish uni, i want to clean my EGR, ive already disabled it. Ive also spoken to MidlandVW about checking my timing on the belt as its a bit tappety

Hi mate - I have the same model but on a 52 plate. Managed 540 miles on full tank a couple of weeks ago with a mix of m/way, decent A roads and some towning. If I'm only trundling to work & back (approx 5 mile round trip) I get between 420-450.

well filled the car up on last monday as the old man took it for a 320mile round trip to london from birmingham. Since then i'vve just been driving it locally.
anyway its reading 504miles and the needle shows 1/4 tank left or just under - looking good at the moment.
when i fill up, i will be able to work it all out
Same engine different car (toledo but similar weight) and using shell/millers I got 590 miles out of my last tank. That was mainly mway but with several speedy bursts and hard accleration. Wasn't nanny'd at all.
