Do you think its filter near the ground that killed it Dan? thats what I put mine down to so moved back into the bay.
Possibly mate yes, so I'm reverting back to putting a filter in the bay, but it's an enclosed filter this time to prevent heatsoak, and I will cut the ali pipe shorter and use it as a cold air feed.

Yeah, the one round the side of Comet. Maybe the prices have gone up since you bought yours
Mines not enclosed its just got a air feed from the fog hole, doesn't sound as smart as you dont get the chatter through the alloy pipe

I'm pretty sure mine will sound better with the enclosed induction filter roar and ali cold air feed, well hoping so.

It does chatter but not that much with my 007p, get proper wastegate chatter at low revs with my GFB valve.
Remap won't be long I've got oil and filter just waiting to fit the manifold spacer/gasket, injector seals, coilpacks and manifold

Smart that mate, decent air filter and tidy secondary breather filter. Will report back on results after this weekend in my Readers Ride thread. O/T but seats have been fitted and I'm loving them, will do pics of those too (amongst a couple other mods). Also doing tracking and oil change this weekend.

Out of interest when you removed your old filter down behind the front fog was it discoloured at all? Did you notice any improvement with the filter located in the bay?
Yeah it was mate.....well it was dirty as it had only been down there about a month before the MAF sensor died, I think it was better down there [might have just sounded faster tho as they do make a great sound lol] but its a hell of a lot better for the engine in the bay.
I now don't have to worry about floods or rain either

I got them rear discs waiting to be fitted to
and a nice big gauge on my front splitter

I was a bit worried about them cracking but the rears dont really do anything do they, mine still had the originals on at 68k
