These leons can be weird with the EML sometimes lol. has any one every had a problem when switching air con on and the car runs a bit lumpy revs going up a down alot?

The compressor will put the alternator under more load than it wants to be when at idle, which is why you get the uneven idle.

I regards to the first post, I was lead to believe that traction control staying on was usually a knackered maf sensor, your eml will be off if you've left the -tive terminal off the battery as this will clear the codes, although I would highly suspect them to come back sooner rather than later.

the tcs/esp light often shows when the maf is on its way out as said. EML light means the ECU has logged a fault and needs reading with vagcom or similar to find the fault code.

is the car running right? if it idles poorly you could try disconnecting the electrical connection on the maf tube, if this instantly improves the engine its 99% the maf sensor

Yeh thanks pal, I'm gonna take it easy until I get a new one, where would be the best place to get them from?

I've just had a quick look on GSF and there's quite a few different ones/makes. I've done a quick search but couldn't find a specific part number.

I fitted my new coilovers recently and my traction light is also staying on. Car is running 100% the same as before, braking the same, but no faults came up AT ALL when I put it on vagcom and no EML....weird.

mine is doing this too. what could it be

Only use genuine bosch ones. Around 65 quid if i remember from GSF (regenerated - when you give your old one back)

I went in last month when mine failed, £95 including surcharge and £25 to come back, so £70. I know that the 150bhp engines are cheaper?
