Taking apart the tailgate handle/badge

v.2 for my tastes, adds a nice dash of colour to the black and whiteness (much like the blue does on the engine cover) and ties in the rear-lights to the rest of the car.

v1 looks like how it should of been done coming out of the factory!

this might sound silly, but for the tailgate badge...how do you even take it off the boot? you may of already said. i'll look again.

edit: i think you said at the beginning, if im correct, with a flat screwdriver etc?

It's bolted in from behind, you have to take the tailgate trim off.

If your only painting the 'S' could you get away with just using the screwdriver twist method in your earlier instructions? or does the whole caboodle have to come off??

I am having a nightmare painting my badges! Took me weeks to do the first one because of the paint coming off etc. Thought this would be easier. But now i cant get the handle back into the casing... It just wont fit, plus the metal bar has scratched all the paint off of the side again, i give up now, but i have a hole in my boot so i cant use it and rain get's in lol fml

edit: Nevermind, managed to get it back in. Worried though as the handle doesn't spring back at the moment... Hope that's normal, i cant remember if that was the case after i took it off of the car in the first place... Hope i have broken it
