I have a problem and have read up and down the pages about it. i have a mk2 leon 2.0tdi ref sport with factory sports suspension and a new born baby. problem is that her wee head is bouncing like a little nodding dog. i have 18's on the car and have tried reducing the tyre pressure to see if this helps but to no joy. if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know, i really need help on this issue many thanks

hi welcome, dont have an fr or similar but many change springs to eibach sportlines etc also koni fsd dampers seem to be popular to improve the ride because the sportspring seem to be harsh.

I wouldn't reduce the tyre pressures too much you risk a blow out in fact maintain them at the recomended pressures please !!, re the hard ride the leons handle so well because well they have no suspension.......

Change the shocks, leave the springs alone. I just had Koni FSD's fitted...problem solved, brilliant. I have posted here about them recently.

And leave the tyre pressures alone ! :-o

Good luck.

As said, some like to change the springs to Eibach's, some like to change the dampers to the FSDs, some do both. The standard FR suspension seems to be stiff for the sake of it but yet doesn't really handle that well. Any of the above mentioned will improve the ride quality.

Absolutely...I personally found that it handled well as stock (this depends on driving style / technique and expectations) but the vehicle was poorly controlled...if you know what I mean. It can get the job done...but it doesn't do it quietly.

we've got a week old baby and she seems to love the jiggly ride in our tdi sport. it sends he to sleep far quicker than the softer ride in my work octavia
