Peak g/s since new MAF is almost 226g/s so the old one was faulty but hasn't cured my surge :(

So that's 225.78/0.8 = 282.2bhp or 225.78 x 1.275 = 287.87bhp...ON A STAGE 1?

So what you you reckon, N75 valve? When driving and before boost kicks in, the car somestimes gets a kick or stutter. I've also noticed that it hesitates on boost, feels like hitting a wall a bit and then boost is allowed back.

I've taken the air filter away from the air feed just to see if all that air hitting it was doing this but I still get the surge.

Please help!

Sorry to see it hasn't sorted your issue Jay :(

Can I just ask how you do those logs on vagcom? Did you do them yourself or with a passenger? What revs to redline etc did you log?

I need to start doing this so I can get some g/s figures for mine.

Have you looked into how much N75 valves are? Maybe yours is faulty?! Or would this flag on vagcom? I'm no expert sorry. But surely worth a try.

Block 002 for airflow Tom. I do it myself normally, just try to be safe and line up the mouse pointer on the start button before you set off, then when in the right gear & revs, hit the left click on the mouse/laptop and start the log. I do the runs in 4th where the road and conditions permit, latest logs were oin 4th but 3rd gear works too if you have less road.

boost gauge to see what its doing..
>2550mb on vagcom yea?

N75 next thing to check out...

Can't check boost in VCDS as it's freeware, boost guage sitting here waiting for installation, hopefully on the weekend. I assume boost is huge though :(.

Looking across U.S forums, looks like N75 causes the issues I have so will change that for a new OE one (F rev?) ASAP. Pleas God let that be the issue and then done.

nice figures m8. as long as the car is turning the gs into power then yes this could be your power :)

Nice indeed, without FMIC and Stage 2 code too but I suspect this is because it's overboosting.

Interested to hear more however there are loads of us with the same setups now and they don't get this issue.

Cheers for the info Jay. I've asked Sam about doing the logs too, so I should be clear to try it out soon :D

I want to tonight but things to do and 35 miles of v-power left in the tank only...

mbc will cap its overboost, which still needs to be confirmed asap... in case its in bendy rod territory.
n75 has fixed some peeps cars, but not everyones..

as we did with Sams, I used an unos in parallel with his n75 to cap the spike, which worked well on his (and a few others which have been suffering muchos spikes - all K04 cars  )

I believe its a 4th gear WOT run, from about 2.5k to redline. However, that will take you north of 3 figures so you can use third instead. Its better to have a passenger so that you can concentrate on the driving, but up to you really.

I'm presuming you know what blocks to log but if not then this link should help to explain what is logged in each.

Hope that helps
JP

it sounds like you had the same issues as me. mine was overboosting like a mother, that was fault of the SHITE turbo. then when i had old one back on, then it was not overboosting but spikey just like your describing. would boost then feel like hit a wall etc, is/was the n75....

Nice one Jonathan :)

Just found it, and it's definitely block 002 to log for airflow (g/s).

I will used 3rd gear for runs until I find some private land ;)
Will probably leave it until I can get a mate to come along as a passenger so I can focus on my great driving skills  ;)
