had my cupra rolling road tested yesterday with its superchips remap at street racres in leics the car is standard apart from a kn panel filter the remap and is always run on bp ultimax 97 304 BHP at 6130 RPM and 403.2 NM with max torque at 4295 RPM the guy there said all the curves were very good and the torque curve was perfect slightley overfueled later in the rev range but i think most remaps for this engine do this to protect it but the guy said the map was spot on and he was very impressed with the figures which is good to know from a independant source needless to say the car is fantastic on the road very quick still puts power down fine but can be a real beast if you want it to be having 2 previous cupra r 225 both remapped to about 260 bhp which i thought were both the best cars you could get on the road for that price bracket and still miss at times well thats untill i get into the new cupra and go for a blast didnt think i would say this but i think the new cupra is the much better drivers car with the above mods over the last 12 months ive had a vxr and focus st and had to go back to a seat cupra to get a proper drivers car that is fast and handels but most of all is fun to drive and this is from a 42 year old who still likes to drive like 22 year old now and again
