Hi mate,

As said before just buy a pd130, i bought one put a pd160 air intake and a green pannell filter and cut a few bits of plastic out of the grill and ducting to get the air from the bottom of the bumper and i was running 145bhp before the re-map now i'm running 176bhp and 314lbpd and the guy at Jabba said the only reason my bhp is that low is because the engine is still wearing in i'm booked in for a milltek exhaust in a couple of weeks and he thinks when i have done 15,000miles i will be running nearly 190bhp. but at the moment 176 is great so many things underestimate the power hahaha love it i had some guy in a focus st170 pull up next to me and you could see in his face he thought he was going to beat me and it wasn't even close hahaha. so as i was saying just get a pd130 do the above which will cost about £900ish and you should be running in the region of 180ish break and in a light car thats fast and only group8 insurance!!!

If beezas insurance is anything like mine the PD 130's etc will be out of his reach. I pay 2.8 grand just for a 1.4

:-o

im 17 and pay £2000 for my 1.4 sport (100bhp) and i have declared my mods

what month and year did you take out your insurance?

I was originally gonna get a 2.0 FSI sport Audi A3, as back when I did quotes for it in september insurance only costs 3 grand. Then it went up all of a sudden to ridicoulous prices and a 1.4 is all I could afford.

Pisses me off big time that people who got their cars just a few months before me pay a hell of alot less. :( :censored: [:@]

January....although it is my 3rd car lol

Yeah insurance was alot cheaper back then. If you did a quote today on the basis that your new to driving as a 17 or 18year old is would also cost you mega bucks.

130 dervs are group 7 for the sport and 8 for the FR but you still get reduction because diesels are still not considered as desirable as petrols, i went from a 1.4 petrol to a 1.9 TDi pd 130 FR and the insurance was identical. you have to think that BeEzA was looking into super charging a 1.2 so this will still work out cheaper on insurance :).
don't forget if your getting a used pd130 that the clutch prob won't take much more than a remap and a filter so still good for 180bhp and about 290ft/lbs of torque, mikey H's clutch is new so will last a while but the milltek does tend to take the torque figure above the limit of 300ft/lbs. if you looking for a meaner sound and the revs to be a bit free'er get a muflerectomy, i did and it was very nice :D.
oh and BeEza to sell you car i would suggest putting as much back to standard as poss to widen you market and then sell the mods on seperatly, i lot of people are put off by modded cars so may shy away driving your price down:(
