Hello Everyone,
I’m looking for some recommendations for fun and unique weekend getaways in the UK. Now that the weather is cooling down, I’m keen to take my SEAT out on some scenic drives and discover new places with a mix of relaxation, adventure, and maybe even a bit of culture. I’ve done a few classic road trips around the Lake District and Cornwall, but I’m looking to expand my horizons and explore some hidden gems or less popular spots.
Ideally, I’m hoping for places that are around 2-4 hours' drive from the Midlands, but I’m open to longer journeys if the location is worth it. Bonus points if it has some scenic routes, nice places to stop along the way, or unique attractions or activities nearby. I’m a big fan of coastal drives, forest areas, and charming villages but would be equally excited about unique events, interesting landmarks, or even a food destination worth the drive.
If anyone’s recently been on a memorable trip or has favorite routes to recommend, please share! Tips on great pit stops, local eateries, or lesser-known viewpoints are very welcome, too. And if you know of any SEAT-friendly accommodations (somewhere with safe parking, etc.), that would be a plus.
Thanks in advance for any advice, and looking forward to hearing about your experiences.
Regards
