Hi there,

I am going to buy the pioneer TS-WX130EA subwoofer to install in my 2012 leon which has the seat media system 2.2. My problem is that the media system does not have RCA plugs so i was wondering which wires do the wires from the subwoofer splice into? I have seen the pinout diagram but dont really understand it lol

Any other advice would be greatly appreiated

Hi I’ve just done this on mine you need a HIGH LEVEL SPEAKER TO LOW LEVEL RCA CONVERTER CABLE ADAPTER they sell them in Halfords. You’ll need to wire the adapter into the left and right speakers and this will give you your rca for you to use a amp for your sub. Also you’ll need to run a switched 12v to the remote wire to turn the amp on.

Yea got on great, a sub makes a huge difference on sound quality and turns out the one i bought accepts speaker level input so i didnt need the converter, great to learn about why the converter is needed all the same
