Stuttering and Lumpy LCR

ok still have the problem but ive another idea! whilst at jabba and prodding around in the engine i noticed that the y shaped breather pipe very soft and perished. they agreed it was in need of replacement.

can anyone explain how it works and what it does? i reckon its collapsing and might be the cause for my problem. im awaiting a replacement so i`ll let you know.

vagcom still showing alls well, so im not loosing air through leaks. but maybe an interuption in air flow on a secondary pipe might cause the surgy/lumpy bit?

as the problems 80% from cold start im guessing this pipe may play a big role at cold temps?

its a bit better

well went to fit a n75 j today to the vrs and was having a look around and the n75 had a clamp missing and the standard re-circ valve had a loose clamp so loose that the dump valve just pulled out,so ive left the standard n75 in and it seems to run better now but ill have to wait and see how it goes over the next week or so and all this is thanks to rainworth motors(skoda)at mansfield

so your getting similar problems? did they start happening after the garage work? this is encoraging in that its a pipework issue. hope youve solved yours mate. keep us informed
