stumpy mirrors oh yes

My old mans back off to spain tomorrow and iv asked him if he can get me the passanger mirror off a mk3 ibiza. Am i right in thinking this will be the small one like the passanger side on a UK spec car?
Have all mk3's got the one bigger one smaller arrangment?
Has anyone got a passenger side uk mirror for sale, if i get the spanish one
Any help mucho appreciated.

90*110 instead of 120*110 or summat i think it was

cheers mate, ill give him the dims. hope his spansh is now up to scratch.

Theres a scrappy by were hes working, lots of nice new cars in there. hes also gona try the local dealers. hope there cheap like everything else in spain.

Iv only seen it done on a few ibizas. Saw one on cleaned.be and it set me off

iv just done the mod, its easy just go and ask for a passenger side mirror (right hand side of car) with temp senser, (you wont need the temp sensor) all you do is take off the old mirror and the door card and plug /screw the new one in. BUT i got mine from a seat dealer over here it took 5 weeks and cost £83 and didnt come with glass or cover (coloured part) but can be done if your dad is unsure.

£83 with out glass or cover were did you get them from then?

Iv told him £50 maximum, hope the scrappy there has one

Fitting should be easy aslong as my mk2 has same mirror attatchment as a mk3.

That was from a seat dealer in cheltenham, england, but i used the cover and glass from a MK5 polo from a scrapy cost about £110 to do the mod, OH + spaying of the cover £30 ok so thats £140, hope that hasnt put you off, and good luck in getting a cheep one from spain, let us know how it gose.

im sure i read on here that polo mirrors have different bases?

yes they do, trust me i ended up buying 2 differant MK5 polo mirrors none of the base plates fit and they come as one unit i spent £60 and found out the hard way, it is easyer and not much more money to just get the left hand drive mirror, you can use the glass and cover from the polo.

I'd be interested in a small right hnd side mirror or a large left hand drive mirror if he can get hold one one. Colour isnt an issue, however my current mirrors are electric and i'd like to sep it that way...

1.0 / 1.4's use a manual adjustment.

Im going over to spain to meet the old geezer sunday so shall be trying to hunt a mirror myself , or just pull one off the nearest passing ibiza

if im lucky enough to find more than one ill bring them back and put them for sale. (thats if i actualy find one for myself)
