I seem to remember reading that the frequency isnt as important as the make - siemens or someone else? Although I'm probs spouting rubbish so let me know if its works! I've got a couple of flip keys round somewhere I think, I'd like to swap mine as well

so in the mean time here's another mod for you all....

Ive now got a genuine vw shortened aerial.

Looks much more tidy than the original one.

I didnt want to get the honda civic aerial like most as it does'nt sit flush at the the base.

This one is specifically designed so sits perfect

How much did that sting you? Must be a bit more that the Honda one, or everyone would go for the 'proper' one...

thats very similar to mine, mine is off the 406 coupe

reception is not great

so think i will put a booster on it and see if that works

Then again, who listens to the radio? If you've got an MP3 player plugged in, or DVD capabilities... I doubt the radio is ever on... unless its traffic reports lol

My satnav uses it for its TMS traffic reports lol

so still my get that booster on there.


seems odd tho as my satnav still tells me about traffic during a route.. maybe that runs via the gps

Seeing as your car is of the same year as mine, do you know of any solutions.

At the moment I am unable to open the boot of my Seat Leon.

might sound daft sugestion.. but have you double pressed the unlock button on your key?

1 press normally just unlocks the drivers door.

if not this then it could be your rear washer jet hose has come loose and soaked the lock/electrics.

Im sure there is a way to remove the boot hatch cover from inside the car so you can have a closer look, fortunatly i havent had to do this.. but good luck and let us know your findings.
