New LUK clutch and DMF yesterday ... £££

The guys at the garage showed me the old parts - the flywheel and slave bearing were absolutely shot! By the look of it they're the original parts, so not bad going for 74k miles!

Also had my Vredestein Sessantas put on all round, the stiff sidewall compared to the previous Kumho winter tyres is noticeable straight away! Just need to bed everything in gently :)

Next on the list is front pads and discs ... Apparently they're almost shot. Luckily I have a set of discs in the garage, just need to sort some pads.

Thinking Mintex M1144s through Camskill ..........

So since Jan its had :

Major service w/iridium sparkplugs and 0w40 oil
MOT
New rear discs and pads
Forge 007p
Milltek cat back exhaust
Clutch + Flywheel
4 x new tyres
2 x Ignition coils - probably not needed but had the eml light flash for 30 sec with a 301 and 302 error, and hadn't replaced these two yet. I don't take risks with my car :)

And now front brakes .... Fingers crossed after this it shouldn't cost me anything bar fuel / insurance / tax for the next 12-18 months.

Hi mate good work so far. I'm having my wheels refurbed soon. Where were yours done, and what colour shade is that? Kind of how I want mine...OEM but a little different.

I'm not sure tbh ... They were done as part of the deal when I bought the car, so the previous owner got them sorted. They're a fair bit lighter than OEM (comparing to the spare wheel) but I like them ... They're just a basic / standard silver AFAIK.

Pads

Hi Stuart
Try Dave at Sere Motors-sponsor on here - had 40% off discs and pads. Most go for Ferodo DS 2500 pads as they are quick response. Haven't got round to fitting that Forge 007p yet i'm afraid but thanks for the offer to check it out when i do.

Cheers - ended up going with Mintex M1144s in the end after past experiences with my old Clio 182. £86 delivered which was a bit of a bargain. Bedded in pretty quickly and impressed with them so far.

Already had discs from when I worked at Euro Car Parts for a whole two months so made use of the staff discount!
