I think smee you right...sanding it might work...but what is its thickness.
Wat you dont want is your lid to start warping!!
Does anyone knows on wat the air box is mounted on?
It will be good if the box can be lowerred.

Have you not got an induction kit on yours???

If thats the case then maybe that's why nothing knocks on mine

i did have a little look there appears to be a leg coming from the bottom right side on to the inner wing... i dont see away of lowering it..

the top of the air filter box is like a castle Battlement. but i have never looked on teh inside to see if its flate or been pressed like it...

its its flat u could sand the end 2 down flat and maybe give enough clearance to stop rattle

I've got the Seat Sport brace on mine. No vibration at all but it is quite close to the airbox. Is it a problem on petrol cars only? Maybe those sticky number plate pads would work.

the airboxes are the same shape i belive on both cupra and fr cars weather its the fr or cupra just the top part is different i belive but any dampening will be ok to stop the noise as its only the airbox which wont move much at all not like the engine moving which is the problem on the petrol cars!
