I am sorry if this has been mentioned in another thread

I have bought a strut brace,(silver adjustable one from ebay)Have been told from some eon that I should get another one as it may break under the tension.Anyone install this type of strut brace? If so any comments
Also Ive seen the guide on how to fit the upper front strut bar.
Do you need to get under the drilled hols to fix the bolt?as the guide does not mention and only to fix the rivnut.
This may be stupid questions, but new to all this
Thank you in advance

I doubt you will need another brace. That is what they are designed for unless you got a cheap ebay one. I'd stick to a more known one such as OMP, Sparco, Audi etc...

Not that i've fitted mine yet but you just need to jack the car up on one side so the wheel drops down and gives you more hand clearance. You should then be able to reach up with a socket/allen key and thread the bolt upwards. Fix with the nut on the top of the brace. Use washers as well if you like.

If you got the one I am thinking of off ebay then i would bin it and get a more known one like Allan stated in the above.

Audi S3 one looks OE.
