Been banging on for ages how my air box makes a noise for a fraction of a second under acceleration as it rattles off the strut brace. Finally got round to putting a few washers under all 4 bolts and hey presto noise has dissappeared. Took the car out for a test drive and suddenly feels quicker (just like when I test drove it from the show room). Could the strut brace hindering the air box led to an decrease in performance or am I just being a diddy and driving the car better cos im not trying to stop the rattle from happening? Answers on a postcard.
