I found that it was easier to lfb with it being bigger, but I couldn't heel & toe with a large throttle pedal too :)

In reality its actually because he couldn't afford a whole set:lol:. I mean he had to strip out and sell the interior just so that he could afford to run the car. So with the couple quid he had left he could only afford to buy just the one pedal. And in the end he had to sell the car .

Stripping a car is a big decision and not to be taken lightly as it can snowball out of control and your'll soon end up down to bare metal. The seat and rear seat belts weigh the most. The spare wheel is also a good thing to get rid off if you have faith in your tyres!

I've stripped out many a car now and driving around in a stripped 205 van at the moment with the ibiza in the garage having everything ripped out(down to dash after some blow torch treatment:lol:.

The noise levels aren't that bad, it's only when you get a phat exhaust which kills you.

The problem with stripping out is weight distribution, stripping out the rear can make the ass of the car jumpy and so you have to start reducingt the front to equal it up. MY mate corsa 2.0 16v is a nightmare as the rear is bare the front has everything in it and it's almost at a constant endow!

Well this weekend I'm fitting some 20mm rear spacers, thus increasing the rear track by 40mm so that hopefully should hopefully stop the back end from stepping out. I've only got the standard mk3 cupra exhaust fitted so it isn't loud at all, which could be better on motorways because I don't get any droning noise.

Last thing I'm wondering: Is there any good reason why I shouldn't remove the sound deadening carpet stuff from underneath the bonnet?? Is it there just to keep things quiet and hot? Reason I'm asking is that maybe if I was to remove it, I'd get a more of an induction noise :D. Its not there to act like a firewall is it? To stop the bonnet paint from melting?

Cheers
