Strange noise coming from front wheels

Hello,

I had a service and MOT about a month or so ago. The result of which was that the front pads were replaced.

I'm now getting a metal on metal scraping noise coming from the wheel.

I'm hoping its just a stone trapped between the two plates.

the noise get worse when I slow down.

I'll be abit unhappy if anything more serious espically as it passed its MOT just over a month ago.

Anything obvious that I can check myself ??

Thanks,

Andy.

Does it pull to one side or the other noticeably when you brake? Take it for a local run, then jump out and see if one wheel feels considerably hotter than the other - be careful, don't burn yourself! I'm just wondering if you have a caliper binding a little.

Not that I've noticed.

Might be me going mad but the car has started to look a little lower on one side. To the point where if I approach from the passenger side it looks like I've got flat on the drivers side.

It maybe related to that.

Are the disks smaller on the back ?

When I check the back the distance between the disks and cover plate behind it is about 1/4 inch, whereas on the front there is no gap at all.
